Billie Williford

Billie Williford, 78, of Hillsboro died Monday, July 9, 2007 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Billie was born June 28, 1929 in Hill County, Texas the daughter of Sydney Brooks and Lydia Adeline Osborn Horne. She was born and lived all of her life on the family farm halfway between Peoria and Woodbury that has been in her family for 138 years. She went to school in the Hunt Community before attending high school in Hillsboro. In August 1946 she married V. D. Williford, Jr. in Hillsboro. She was a homemaker, member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro, and attended Woodbury Baptist Church in the Woodbury Community. Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Ronnie Joe Williford on February 14, 1994; great-grandson, Tyler McHam; and a sister, Lydia Tekel. Survivors include her husband, V. D. Williford, Jr. of Hillsboro; son, Tony Williford and wife, Vicky, of Hillsboro; siblings, Mary Bailey of Hillsboro, Levi Horne and wife, Alice, of Hillsboro, and Betsy Prince of McKinney; four grandchildren, J. Sean Williford and wife, Gena, of Waco, Ronnie Joe Williford, Jr. of Whitney, Michelle McHam and husband, Mark, of Whitney, and Chris Tyree of Fort Worth; and six great-grandchildren, Deseray Sedillo; Jocelyn and Wyatt Williford; Dakota Williford; Kyndal McHam; and Eternity Tyree.
