Billy Barnes

Billy Jack was born July 14, 1928 in the Menlow Community, the son of Floyd D. and Margaret Lillian Williams Barnes. He grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School, Hill College, and TCU with a major in education. He loved all sports and participated in athletics. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He married Frances Noel in 1962, and worked for the U.S. Post Office from 1950 to 1986. He was preceded in death by hs parents and one brother, Donald Barnes. He was a member of the College Hill Church of Christ of Hillsboro. His survivors include: His wife, Frances Barnes of Hillsboro; Son, Jackie Barnes of Leander;Grandchdren Travis Austin Barnes, and Alyssa Renee Barnes; Aunt, Naomi Shaw of Hillsboro; and many cousins and friends.
