Biography

Billy Mac Crawford, 84, of Whitney, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Whitney. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Whitney Memorial Park with Rev. Bobby Booth of Towash Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Thursday, December 27, 2012, at Marshall and Marshall in Whitney.

Billy Mac was born June 30, 1928, in McLennan County to the late Carl and Henrietta (Drahn) Crawford. He married Lula B. (Wiley) Crawford on August 30, 1991 in Whitney. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked in maintenance at a cement plant and was a member of Towash Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, six sisters and a daughter.

He is survived by his wife, Lula Bell Crawford, one daughter, Cecilia Crawford and husband, Hoppy Lillard , one son, Billy Keith Crawford; two stepsons, Larry Ward and wife, Teresa, and Gary Ward and wife, Sharon; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
