Billy Monroe

Billy Monroe, 59, of Hearne passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. His family will hold a memorial service in his honor at a later date.

Born January 12, 1955 in Paducah, he was the son of Douglas Cleo and Leda Pearl (Sheffield) Monroe. He grew up in Hillsboro and lived here most of his life until 10 years ago when he moved to Hearne. For six years, he served his country in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Douglas Wayne Monroe.

Survivors include a brother Robert Lee Monroe and wife, Joni, of Covington; sister, Mary Ann Hughes of Manvel; and several nieces and nephews.
