Billy Arthur Schulz, Sr.

Billy Arthur Schulz, 69, of Lacy Lakeview, TX passed away on March 1, 2024 as a result of his battle with cancer. At the time of his passing he was at his home surrounded by loved ones, which is exactly where he wanted to be. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Marshall and Marshal Funeral Directors Chapel In Hillsboro with Billy Schulz, Jr. officiating. A visitation will be held prior at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Yates Cemetery in Whitney.

Billy was born August 9, 1954 in South Dakota to Billie and Dorothy ( Lichnovsky) Schulz.  He held many titles in his life – Father, Brother, Uncle, Son, and Poppy, all of which he held proudly. One of his favorite things was being with and around his family. Throughout his journey of life, he enjoyed a multitude of activities. He loved music, playing games, fishing, hunting, canoeing, cooking, camping, having a beer, and spending time with his family and friends. He always liked to crack jokes, he had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor that just made you smile, and if you didn’t smile and you looked at him and saw his crooked little grin…you were going to smile then. He will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by His wife Barbara Schulz and his parents Billie and Dorothy Schulz.

Billy is survived by his 3 children, Billy Schulz and wife Amy Schulz, Tami Sheffield and husband Will Sheffield, and Amanda San Andres. His 2 sisters Brenda Thomas and Debbie Blaha and husband Thomas Blaha as well as 9 grandchildren.
