Blanche Barber

Blanche Barber, 93, of Whitney passed away on Oct. 16, 2007 at her residence. She was born on Nov. 8, 1913 in Oklahoma to Henry and Celia Peevey Hurst. On Feb. 2, 1933, she married J. P. Barber and preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1991. Blanche was a homemaker and a member of Abiding Life Church in Whitney where she taught Sunday School, played the piano and was a WM leader for many years. Also preceding her in death was a son Horton J. Barber in 1975. Survivorsinclude her children, Celia Reuther and husband John of Hurst, Bobbie Gilmore and husband, Don of Burleson, Charles Barber and wife, Irene of Whitney;9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
