Bobbie Orr

Bobbie Louise Orr, 85, of Dallas and formerly of Hillsboro, died peacefully June 17, 2017, after an extended struggle with multiple health issues. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Rev. Ken James officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, June 19, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Bobbie was born December 15, 1931, in Bynum, the daughter of Kenneth Pritchett and Hazel Ganus Pritchett. Bobbie dedicated her life to caring for her family after retiring from her career as a bookkeeper. She loved seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren during family gatherings.

Bobbie met the love of her life, Glenn Durwood Orr, while living in Hillsboro. They married in 1951 and had three children together before Glenn succumbed to cancer in 1968 at the age of 36.

Always active in her churches, Bobbie cared for the youngest of First Baptist Church Hillsboro for many years before moving to Dallas with her daughter, Debra Diane Orr, and moving her membership to Brookhaven Baptist Church.

Bobbie is survived by a brother, Richard Dale Pritchett and family; two sons and their spouses, Glenn Robert Orr and wife, Tammy, of Arlington, WA, and Michael Wayne Orr and wife, Charlene, of Kaufman; daughter, Debra Diane Orr of Dallas and her significant other, Matt Nicholson of Denton; grandchildren, Christopher M. Orr and wife, Jodi, Glynis Orr Durham and husband, Bo, Robin Wilson and husband, Jeremy, James G. Orr, Jennifer Orr, Amber Johnson and husband, Danny, and Adrianna Orr; eight great-grandchildren; one niece and several nephews; and much loved brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Beverly Orr of Hillsboro.
