Bobbie Smith

Bobbie Ruth Smith, 92 of Temple, Texas passed away on Jan. 12, 2008 in Temple. Bobbie Ruth was born on October 22, 1915 in Bynum, Texas the daughter of Carrol D. Tobe and Erma McCommas Smith. She grew up in Bynum and graduated from Bynum High School. She also graduated from North Texas State University in Denton and received her Masters degree from Baylor. During her teaching career she taught school in Arlington for many years as well as several other schools. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents and sisters, Hazel Bratcher and Marilyn Barker. Survivors include her nieces, Peggy Brockette and husband, Al of Temple, Carol Vaughn and husband, John of Spring; nephew, Norman Barker of Austin; great nieces, Debbie Brockette of Temple, Avery Vaughn of Spring; great nephews, Tyler Vaughn of Spring, Scooter Brockette of Temple; great great nephews, Chase Sparks and Christopher Sparks of Troy; great great nieces, Ashley Brockette of Houston, Amanda Baros of Victoria and great great great nephew, Hunter Baros of Victoria.
