Bobby Glenn Marsh, Sr, 73, of Houston and formerly of Whitney passed away on April 27, 2009 in Houston. Bobby was born on November 24, 1935 in Whitney, the son of Guy Leslie and Lola Grace Bilton Marsh. Graduating from Whitney High School in 1954, he began serving his country in the 36th Division of the National Guard enlisting in 1954 and honorably discharged in 1962. On February 20, 1970, he married Barbara Townsend in Dallas. He worked for Smith Electric in Dallas and then transferred to Houston in February 1970 to open an Smith Electric office there. He also worked for Lift Moore, Inc. in purchasing and retired in 2001. Bobby was an avid fisherman, gardener enjoyed woodworking. Also he enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the Hill County Genealogical Society and the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Houston; children, Devery Wright and husband, Keven of Clifton, Bobby Glenn Marsh, Jr. and wife, Kelly of Cypress, Raymond Wade Marsh and wife, Carolyn of Tomball; brother, Donald Marsh of Burleson; sisters, Mozel Henry of Victoria, Charlotte Loving of McKinney; 2 grandchildren, Marlon Banner, Jr. of Whitney; Emileigh Marsh of Cypress, 2 great grandchildren, Hank and Tuff Banner of Combine; special companion, Bengy; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends..
