Bobby E. Younger of Waxahachie, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away on March 19, 2005 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie, Texas. Bobby was born March 20, 1930 in James Community, Hill County to Osee Dee Barnett and Clyde Wilkes Younger. Attending Hillsboro Public Schools, he graduated in 1948. At that time he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force. After serving six years during the Korean War, he was honorably discharged as Staff Sergeant. In 1950, he married Gail Grizzle and made their home in Hillsboro. For many years Bobby was General Manager of the Hillsboro Daily Mirror. He began his career in plastic pipe and fittings in 1968, holding positions of General Manager of Robintech, Inc. of South Carolina and President of Plastiline, Fittings, Inc. of Pompano Beach, Florida. In 1980 Bobby built a plastic pipe company, BAY Plastics, Inc. in Burleson, TX. He was president of BAY Plastics until 1988 when he sold the company and retired. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro, where he served as Deacon and Sunday school Superintendent. Bobby was very active in the community, being a coach of junior league baseball teams, a member of the Rotary Club, and the Texas Jaycees. He held an office at local, regional, and state level in the Jaycees. Golf with friends was his relaxation. Waxahachie was his residence of choice for the last ten years. Survivors include his wife, Gail, daughter, Rikki Morrow; granddaughter Jodi Morrow Gentry and husband, Greg Gentry, grandson, Duff Morrow, all of Waxahachie; sister, Billie Younger of Arlington and sister-in-law, Mazelle Isenberg of Hillsboro. Nieces and nephews including Tommy Joe Davis and wife, Linda, Clay Isenberg, Cathy Isenberg and Nan Morgan all of Hillsboro, Texas. Active pallbearers included Billy Tom Sanders, Don Murphree, Glenn Mash, Paul Dodson, Ray Weable, Pat McElroy, Jerry Roberts, Bobby Loyd. Honorary pallbearers were Harlan Meyers, Harvey Wilson, Robert Odom, Rick Rambo, John Davis, Randolph Reeves, Darrell Strength, Donnie Nelson, Mannie Bigham, Joe Hobbs, Bryan Coday, Danny Fikes, and Butch Nelson. Services were held on March 22, 2005 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro, Texas. Officiating was Dr. Leroy Fenton of Waxahachie and Dr. Howard Daniel of Hillsboro, Texas. Burial at Ridge Park Cemetery. Bobby was a moral man who believed in God and country and a deep love of family.
