Bonnie Harris

Bonnie Harris, 85, of Whitney passed away on September 21, 2015, at a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 25, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney, with David Snipes officiating. Burial will follow at New Lebanon Cemetery near Aquilla. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, September 24, 2015, at the funeral home.

Bonnie was born on July 6, 1930, in Erath County, to the late John R. and Lucille (Braswell) Tyra. On September 17, 1957, she married Ralph L. Harris. She was a baker.

She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Willis and a brother Vernon Tyra.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ralph Harris of Whitney; son, Terry Harris of Whitney; grandchildren, Terri Harris of Houston, Derek Harris of Whitney, Haley Harris of Long Island, New York, Ashley Willis of Copperas Cove; great-grandchildren, Dillon Friese and Lelind Friese Harris, both of Houston.
