Bonnie Langford

Bonnie Langford 86, of Bynum, passed away Saturday March 16, 2013 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, March 23, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Bynum with Rev. Edward Sumrall officiating.

Bonnie was born May 21, 1926 in Hill County, Texas, the daughter of Talmadge and Beatrice (Cole) Owens. For most of her life she lived in Hill County, graduating from Bynum High School. Shortly after the end of World War II, she married Preston “Jack” Langford on January 17, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1994.

For more than 25 years, Bonnie worked in the offices of the Bynum Independent School District. Prior to that, she had also served on the staff of the Hillsboro Daily Mirror. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bynum and was an active volunteer worker, most recently for Hillsboro Interfaith Ministries. She loved to go camping and enjoyed painting and reading in her spare time.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and son, Michael Langford, on September 14, 2012. Survivors include one son, Allen “Pat” Langford of Bynum; daughter-in-law, Gloria Langford of Bynum and Gloria’s brother Ronnie Schulz of Mead, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Joey Langford of Bynum; great-grandson Justin Langford of Bynum and her many pets.
