Bonnie Taylor

Bonnie Joe Langford Taylor, of Houston died Monday, March 23, 2009, in Sugarland. Bonnie was born May 14, 1921 in Mertens the daughter of Charlie and Bonnie Shirley Langford. She was preceded in death by her parent and husband, Stephen Wayne Taylor. Also by maternal grandparents, E. C. and Sallie Shirley, and by brothers, Woodrow Langford, Charles Shirley Langford, and Jack Langford. Bonnie received an undergraduate degree from North Texas University and a Master's degree from the University of Houston. Bonnie is a retired Houston Independent School District teacher-having taught in Mamie Sue Bastian Elementary, Ed White Elementary, and Sharpstown Middle School. Survivors include her children, Gary and wife, Effie Taylor, of Sugarland, and Carol Kennedy and husband, Dr. Ross Kennedy and grandchildren, Ross Kennedy, Jr. and Andrew Kit Kennedy. She is also survived by two brothers and one sister, E. C. Langford of Hillsboro, James Floyd Langford of New Braunfels, and Edith Lou Lightfoot of San Marcos.
