Brad Taylor, 52, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 3, 2014, at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Mr. Harrell Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday evening at the funeral home.
On November 2, 1961, Brad was born in Hillsboro to Roland Troy and Margaret (Gilley) Taylor. He lived in Hillsboro all his life, graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1980. Following school, he first went to work for American Muffler Shop before later joining Faulknor’s Radiator Shop. After a number of years there, Brad took over as the owner/operator through July of 2012.
Brad was very passionate about his Harley Davidson motorcycle and enjoyed taking trips with his friends. He literally lived and breathed his motorcycle. A natural mechanic, he also enjoyed working on automobiles. Brad was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his father, Roland Taylor and wife, Cheryl, of Elk; sister, Debbie Brooks and husband, Dean, of Bynum; a niece, Sarah Brooks of Arlington; and nephew, Ryan Brooks of Bynum. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Taylor.
