Braxton Wayne Woodard passed away Tuesday night August 23, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Hillcrest in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Braxton was born on October 13, 2020, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, Texas, to Camryn Woodard and Bailie Payne. Braxton was full of life. He loved being outside with the animals especially the pigs, bock bocks (chickens), horses, and cows. His love for animals grew and he loved to make animal sounds with his family. Braxton had a compassionate spirit and would try to cheer up anyone who was having a bad day. Braxton was the center of his family’s world, and they loved him deeply. Braxton is leaving a huge hole in the heart of his family. He always had a smile on his face and found joy in whatever he did, from playing with animals or family, playing dinosaurs, to reading books.
Braxton was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents and a maternal great-aunt. He is survived by his parents; Camryn Woodard and Bailie Payne; grandparents, James and Marci Dunbar of Aquilla and Claude and Jenny Woodard of Whitney; aunts and uncles, Hannah Dunbar of Aquilla, Jaci Dunbar of Aquilla, and Corey and Amber Woodard of Whitney; great-grandparents; cousins; and many great-aunts and -uncles.
