Brenda Charlene (Williams) James

Brenda Charlene James, 78, of Waco, Texas passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White - Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas. She had been fighting a two-year battle with cancer.  Memorial service/visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro with childhood friend Hubert Payne officiating.

Brenda was born February 12, 1944, in Hillsboro to Charles V. and Mamie Charlene (Cagle) Williams.  She grew up in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School. She married Douglas Mack James in 1963.  Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. Brenda worked many years in the banking profession in Waco. She had many satisfied customers that knew her by name.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her brothers Donald Ray Williams and Charles Randy Williams.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-nine years, Douglas James of Waco; her daughter Angela Hosman and her husband Eric of Florence; her grandson, Mark Douglas Edwards and his wife Karli of Florence; her granddaughter, Amanda McFarland and her husband Robert of Iowa; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Madison, River, Olivia, Colton, and Rory; and her brother, Ronnie Williams and wife, Joyce, of Waxahachie.
