Brenda “K.K.” Moser, 63, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday evening, December 28, 2013 at an Itasca Nursing Home following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with burial to follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home prior to the service.
Brenda was born to Jackie James and Dorothy Marie (Mahurin) Johnson on April 16, 1950 in Fort Worth. She was an honor graduate of Itasca High School in 1968 and also attended Hill Junior College and TCU. She was of the Methodist faith. Her parents and in-laws, Cecil and Frances Moser, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of almost 40 years, Bobby A. Moser of Hillsboro; two children, Brandi Moser of Fort Worth and Brittany Moser of Corona, CA; two sisters, Sandra Bordner and husband, Wayne, of Fort Worth and Karla Lightsey and husband, Kevin, of Itasca; one grandson, Drake Allen Deanda of Corona, CA; one sister-in-law, Judy Handy and husband, Jerry, of Hillsboro; three nieces, Francis Woodard of Hillsboro, Kathy Fain of Whitney, and Kaleigh Lightsey of Itasca; two nephews, Kayd Lightsey of Itasca and Jerry Handy of Hillsboro; step-mother-in-law, Clara Williams of Hillsboro; and special friend, Pat Covington, of Shreveport, LA.
