Bryant Edward Sumrall, Sr., 80, of Bynum, Texas, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021.  He was born March 19, 1941, in Leake County, Mississippi to Hubert Willard Sumrall and Louise Williams Sumrall.

Mr. Sumrall will lie in state from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, in Hillsboro, Texas.  A private graveside service will be held Friday, September 24, 2021.

Bryant was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Lois Marie West of Petal, Mississippi; brother-in-law, W.T. West of Sevierville, Tennessee; and the husband of his sister, Randy Oswalt.  He is survived by his wife, Louise West Sumrall; children, Bryant Edward Sumrall, Jr. (Pennie) of Bynum, Texas, William Neil Sumrall (Teresa) of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Courtlynn Sumrall Moore of Richardson, Texas, Gina Sumrall Chemi (Phil) of Winchester, Virginia, Amanda Loggins (Cooper) Terrill of Rosebud-Lott, Texas, Max Sumrall and friend Kirsten van der Meulen of the Netherlands, Zoe Sumrall of Winchester, Virginia, and Hanna (Emerald) Baskin-Sumrall of Melrose, New Mexico; great-grandchildren, Allie Moore of Richardson, Texas, Lane Williams, Grant Chemi, Julie Chemi and Rhys Chemi of Winchester, Virginia and Walker Terrill of Rosebud-Lott, Texas; sister, Joan Oswalt of Byrum, Mississippi; sister-in-law, JoAnn Parden of Petal, Mississippi.
