Calvin L. Yeaman, 80, of Abilene, formerly of Hillsboro, died Monday, October 15, 2007, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Calvin was born August 6, 1927 in Grandview, Texas the son of James C. and Pearl Taylor Yeaman. He grew up in Hillsboro. During World War II, he served in the United States Navy as a C. B. at Pearl Harbor. On July 27, 1946 he married Dorothy Dohoney. Prior to working for 32 years at Auto Convoy, he ran several service stations in Hillsboro. In 1987 he retired and ran a radiator shop before moving to Abilene in 2002. He was a member of West Side Church of Christ in Hillsboro all of his life before moving to Abilene and becoming a member of the Highway 36 Church of Christ. Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant son, Gary Yeaman; daughter-in-law, Linda Yeaman; two brothers, Rudolph and Reuben Yeaman; and a sister, Helen Hixon. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Yeaman of Abilene; two sons, Larry Yeaman of Waxahachie and Randy Yeaman and wife, Pam, of Abilene; brother, Chester Yeaman of Hillsboro; granddaughter, Allison Yeaman of Dallas; brother-in-law, Howard Dohoney and wife, Ida, of Sierra Vista, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Betty Dohoney of Amarillo and Nettie Yeaman of Natchez, MS; and many nieces and nephews.
