Carl Mac Davis, age 78, of Whitney, Texas went home to be with the Lord on April 15, 2021 at his residence.  A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M Sunday, May 30, 2021, at his farm, 914 Highway 22 in Whitney.

Carl was born on September 6, 1942 in Moulton, Iowa to Harold B. Davis and Velma Irene Covington Davis.  Carl attended Moulton High School.  After graduation he went into the Army.  After his career in the army, Carl worked in the Foundry, he owned his own restaurant, worked at Eagles and owned his own bar in Cincinnati, Iowa.  Carl moved to Texas and worked for Flowers Construction until retirement in 2013.  After Carl retired he went on to sell cut firewood, enjoyed going to auctions and taking care of his goats.  Carl was an active member of the American Legion Post 004.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sister, Jennie Garr; brother, Larry Doc Davis; and daughter, Beverly Caraccio.

Carl is survived by his wife, Pauletta Willeford; son, Joe and wife Tabi Davis of Urbandale, Iowa, Harold and wife Kelly Davis of Centerville; daughters, Missy Evans and husband Kurt of Marion, Illinois, Theresa Summers and husband Doug, Ranea Lancaster of Florida, Kristi Wilkerson and husband Nathan of Fisk Missouri and Jodi Rice of Polar Bluff, Missouri; sisters, Patty Davis of Centerville, Iowa, Peggy Aiello of Centerville, Iowa, Annbeth and husband, Earl Taylor of Ottumwa, Iowa; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; favorite furry goat, Rowley.

Carl will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Interim Hospice of Waco for their dedication and care.
