Carla June Patton

Carla Patton, age 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Homestead Heritage nursing home in Hillsboro. A graveside service under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors of Whitney will be held at 10:00 am on August 26, 2020 at Whitney Memorial Park.  The Rev. Grady Swinscoe will be officiating.

Carla was born June 11, 1963 in Freeport, Texas. She was the fifth child of six born to the late Willie and Esma (Lamkin) Herbert.

Carla was a people person. She was a waitress by trade and lived in several different states. She loved to dance, play cards and do word puzzles. She gave the best hugs in the world. Now she is in heaven singing and dancing with Jesus. Carla was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Carla is survived by her five siblings, Gail McCoslin, of Brazoris, Tx. Marie Swinscoe and Husband, Grady, Floyd Herbert and wife, Trudy, of Alexandria, La., Carolyn Smith and husband, Roger of Fordache, La. and Marvin Herbert and wife Josie of Arlington, Tx. She leaves behind a multitude of nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
