Carlos Campos Pineda

Carlos Campos Pineda, 84, of Milford passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his residence.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Mario Hernandez officiating.  Burial will follow at 2:15 p.m. Monday, July 29, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.  Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the funeral home.

Carlos was born September 8, 1939, in Sequin, Texas. Carlos lived most of his life in San Antonio, Texas.  He joined the US Army on January 31, 1957. He served in Okinawa, Japan and Anchorage, Alaska.  When his enlistment period was over, he returned home in 1968. He moved his family to Dallas, Texas, in 1970. He worked for Naud Burnett Landscaping Company until he and a partner started a company, Fantastic Gardens, in Dallas, Texas.  When he retired, Carlos and Jackie made their home in Carl’s Corner.

Carlos is preceded in death by his parents, Genovevo and Clemencia Pineda; his siblings, Guillermo Pineda, Hortencia Nanyes, Gloria Collins, and Robert Pineda.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Pineda; his children, son Carlos & spouse Lorraine Pineda, daughter Laura & spouse Donnie Kent, daughter Margaret & spouse Paul Moore, son Thomas & Lisa Penny, and son, Thor and Jill Penny; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
