Carmen Herrera

Carmen B. Herrera, 90, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. Her family will host a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018, at Templo Cristo De Poder De 7th Dia.

Born August 7, 1928, in Tempoal, Mexico, she was the daughter of Pedro and Hortencia (Casanova) Bautista. Later in life, she came to the United States to live with her children. Carmen was a great mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her three children, Guillermina “Gigi” Compean and husband, Agapito, Norma Herrera, and Jose Herrera; six grandchildren, Jose Angel Herrera, Gabrielle Herrera, Carolina Herrera, Nancy Herrera, Damaris Compean Nuuanu, and Cristal Iris Compean; and four great-grandchildren, Ava E. Herrera, Charlotte Herrera, David Kyle Rivera, and Adriel Kainoa Alekai Nuuanu.
