Carole Castleberry


Carole was born on June 7, 1943 in Farmville, VA. She was the daughter of Bill and June Stamps Mills. She grew up in Irving and lived there for a number of years graduating from Irving High School and North Texas State University. Carole received her license to become a registered nurse from the Dallas County Community College in the early 80's. Moving to Whitney in 2000 she pursued her varied interest which included genealogy, antiques, animal rescue, Civil War reenactments and was an avid fan of Celtic Thunder. She could play any instrument and was very artisticaly inclined. She attended Open Range Cowboy Church. Survivors include her parents; Bill and June Mills of Whitney; two children, Casey June Gallegos and husband Stephen of Idaho, Joey Castleberry and wife Tori of Irving; brother, Bill Mills, Jr. and wife, Becky of Coppell; six grandchildren, Caley and Andi Eeds and Campbell Castleberry of Irving and Alanah, Riley and Nathanial Gallegos of Idaho; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and former husband, Joe Castleberry of Lone Star.
