Carolyn Doughtie

Carolyn was the daughter of David Washington and Willie GreenWommack Clark. On August 23, 1969, she married Bill Doughtie in Dallas. She was an active gardener and loved yardwork, flowers, plants and attending garden club meetings. A very good cook, she also was an avid reader. In 1987, she retired from Beard Plumbing Company, where she served as office manager. She was a member of the Hillsboro Garden Club, Center Garden Club, and the First Methodist Church of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Bill Doughtie of Hillsboro; 3 children - Diana Calahan and husband, Bill of Walnut Creek, California, Tom Doughtie and wife, Cathy of Amarillo, and Andy Doughtie and wife, Jill of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Nellie Foster, of Grand Prairie, and sister-in-law, Kathleen Clark of Carrollton; 5 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
