Cecil Campbell

Cecil A. Campbell, 85, of Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 26, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney, with Rev. Eddie Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the funeral home.

Cecil was born on April 9, 1930, in Belmont, Mississippi to the late Oscar Lee and Mae (Bicknell) Campbell. He married Lorine Peck on September 18, 1948 in Vernon, Texas and they were married for over 55 years. She preceded him in death on August 8, 2004. They spent most of their married life in the Dallas area, moving to Whitney in 1978. On May 17, 2005, Cecil married Mary Coleman. He was a retired steel worker and worked for Dallas Jet Co. for 8 years and Austin Steel for 17 years.

Preceding him in death were his first wife, Lorine; and a brother, Ellis Campbell.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Campbell of Oklahoma; children, Nellie Sue Ratliff and husband, James Robert of Lewisville, Albert Daniel Campbell and wife, Brenda of Cleburne, Clifford Dale Campbell and wife, Rita of Whitney, and Michael Lee Campbell of Alvarado; 7 grandchildren,and 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jessie Campbell and Eddie Campbell and wife, Ann, all of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and a sister, Retha Peck McCord of Centrahoma, Oklahoma.
