Cecil Roller 91, of Cleburne, formerly of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Cleburne. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Ken James officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28 at the funeral home.
Cecil was born July 31, 1921 in Whitney the son, of Henry M. and Mary Retta (McClutchen) Roller. He graduated from Whitney High School and lived most of his life in Hill County. He served in the military during WWII and married Grace Evans on May 15, 1943. After 30 years of work, he retired from General Tire in Waco. Cecil liked old cars and watching the Texas Rangers. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace on July 6, 1992, 3 brothers, Leslie M. Roller, Shorty Roller, and Harlan Roller.
Survivors include his daughter, Sue Stokes and husband, David of Cleburne, son, James Roller and wife, Drenda of Cleburne, 4 grandchildren; Scott Stokes and wife Leah, Lauri Hughes and husband David, Jama Derting and husband, Scott, and Donya Curtis and husband, Warren, 8 great-grandchildren; Matthew Stokes, Joshua Stokes, Kobi Hughes, Alli Hughes, Jerin Roller, Raelei Curtis, Dawson and Delainee Derting.
