Cecil Utley, Jr

Cecil Ray Utley, Jr., 87, of Dallas passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012, in Dallas. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro with Pastor Paul Proctor officiating.

Cecil was born June 17, 1925 in Hillsboro to the late Cecil Ray,Sr. and Clara(Williams) Utley. During World War II, he served his country in the United States Navy. On April 13, 1945, he married Katy Doris Kennedy and she preceded him in death on October 3, 1998. Cecil worked as a consultant in heating and air conditioning for MCI, retiring in 2002. He was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.

Survivors include his daughters, Anita Ramey and Beverly Girard and husband, Jim; half-sister, Cecilia Martin; brother-in-law, John Erwin; two grandchildren, Drew Jacobs and Kristin Cappallo and husband, Brian; three great-grandchildren, Dusty Luttrell and Blake and Claire Cappallo; nieces, Patricia Erwin and Gayle Vrana and husband, Larry; and cousins, Bonnie McDaniel, Cecil “Stubby” Stubblefield, Doyle Rogers and wife, Ann, Susan Schronk and husband, Rodney, Kenny McLure and wife, Julie, Scott McDaniel and wife, Laura, Jeremy Rogers, Ryan and Trey Schronk, Seth and Matt McLure, and Nate, Christa, David, and Sean McDaniel.
