Charles Banner

Charles Roy Banner, 76, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005 in Hillsboro. Mr. Banner was born February 27, 1929 in Lynn County, Texas the son of Jacob Roy and True Zella Williams Banner. He grew up in Trent, Texas. On October 3, 1953 he married Wanda Harris. During the Korean War he served in the U. S. Army. For 35 years he was a postal employee. He was a long-time resident of Dallas before moving to Hillsboro in 1990. Preceding him in death were his parents; and a son, Larry Banner, on December 13, 1981. He will be greatly missed by his family which includes his wife, Wanda Harris Banner of Hillsboro; three children, Tricia Banner of Irving, Don Banner of Washington State, and Rusty Banner of San Antonio; two brothers, David Banner of Red Oak and Frank Banner of Weston; two sisters, Odell Stallcup of Hillsboro and Louise Bishop of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Charlie and Michelle, Ryan, Leah, and Garner Banner; and one great-grandchild, Ellie Banner.
