Charles William Cunningham, 82, of Hillsboro, went to the Lord on Monday morning June 16, 2008 after a battle with cancer. He was born February 25, 1926, in Hillsboro, to Marvin and Mary Cunningham and attended Hillsboro schools before he was drafted into the Army for World War II. He served with the Battery B 672 Field Artillery Battalion in Germany. He enjoyed wood working, dancing and celebrating with food around family and friends. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation in Hill County as Assistant Foreman for Maintenance Dept and retired in March 1987. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Rae Conditt Cunningham, sister, Doris Cunningham Stokes, brother, Billy Joe Cunningham, and sister, Patricia Pat Land. He is survived by, sister, Ann Bowman, and husband Garry, son, C.R. Chuck Cunningham, two daughters, Judy Elaine Collins and Donna Sue Hutton and husband, David; grandchildren Carrie Graeve and husband, Steve, Chris Collins and wife, Tammy, Jason Hudson and wife, Megan, Valerie Wylie and husband, Bud, and Jeremy Hudson and wife, Emily; along with 6 great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces, nephews and special life long friends. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Skelton, Dr. Howton, Dr. Stewart and the entire staff of Texas Home Health and Texas Home Health Hospice for their tender love and care.
