Charles Dawson

Charles Wayne was born here in Hill County on December 22, 1942, the son of Clyde Allen and Ruby Gertie Jones Dawson. Since April 30, 2009, he battled cancer until our Lord carried him home as he slept, January 28, 2010. Charles moved to Dallas in the early 60's where he became Regional Supervisor for Centennial Liquor Stores and retired early after 20 years. Known for his sharp wit & sence of humor, he was never one to turn away a friend in need. Chuck was loved by all who knew him, he will be dearly missed. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Ray and Clyde Dell Dawson. Survivors include his wife, Beth Marie and son, Darin Kirk Dawson. Nephews: Richard, Mike, Clyde and David Dawson. Nieces: Diane Nowlan, Sheila Morris and Becky Barnes.
