Charles “Chuck” Eastep, 80 years old, beloved husband and father, died and entered eternal life on March 15, 2021 at William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home.
Chuck was born on March 10, 1941 in Fannin County, Bonham, Texas.
A Marine Corps. Veteran, he served as a Motor Vehicle Operator from January 22, 1957 to November 8, 1960. He received the Good Conduct Medal and an Honorable Discharge as a Corporal. He retired as a Long-Haul Truck Driver and moved from Arlington, Texas to his family home in Lake Whitney, Texas in Juniper Cove.
Chuck loved “lake living” and never tired of listening to Waylan, Willie, Bocephus and the Boys, and always had a western playing on the TV, especially Gunsmoke, Rifleman, and Lonesome Dove. He was known to his children and grandkids as “Pop” and “Grandpa” and was loved by each of them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Margaret Eastep, and his wife of 55 years, Margaret Ann Eastep.
He is survived by his loving sister, Fredia Lois Slack of 77 years; two children, Bobby Charles Eastep, 58, and wife Valetta, and David Charles Eastep, 44, and wife AnaMishell; four grandchildren, Charles Aaron Eastep and wife Betty, Courtney Nicole Briggs and husband TJ, Qoi Eastep and Ulu Fleming, and three great grandchildren, Caleb Charles Eastep, Ethan Santiago Eastep and Emerson Jaye Briggs.
