Charles William Parrish, 71, of Hillsboro passed away at his residence Thursday morning, March 24,2011.
A memorial graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2011 at Peoria Cemetery with Rev. Edward Sumrall officiating.
Charles was born March 27, 1939 in Bynum, Texas to William and Katheryn (Bledsoe) Parrish. After graduating from Hillsboro High School, he served four years in the U.S. Army. He was a retired long haul trucker.
His enjoyment in life was riding his motorcycle, playing dominoes, and raking leaves.
Preceding him in death were his father and a grandchild.
Charles is survived by his mother, Mary Katheryn Bledsoe Freese of Hillsboro; children, Charles ”Chuck” William Parrish, Jr. of Wilmington,N.C., Richard Thripp of Ormond Beach, FL, Jeff Parrish of Alaska, Pam Thompson of Port Orange, FL, and Lori Parrish of Deland, FL; sisters, Martha F. Owen and husband, David, Carolyn P. Dixon and husband, Olin, all of Houston. Several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive him.
