Charles Pritchett, 87, of Hillsboro died Thursday, May 29, 2008, in Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Charles was born September 10, 1920 near Aquilla, in the Culp Community where he grew up, Texas the son of Charles Malone and Lula Margaret Biggs Pritchett. On August 26, 1939 he married Edna Kerley and she preceded him in death on April 1, 1979. During WWII he served his country in the U. S. Army in the European Theater. For 32 years he worked for Lone Star Gas, retiring in 1982. He was an avid fisherman and of the Baptist faith. Also preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Survivors include his children, Beverly Kaddatz and husband, Eugene, of Hillsboro; Charles Pritchett and wife, Betty, of Fort Worth; Gary Pritchett and wife, Sherry, of Aquilla; and Jerry Pritchett of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, Dennis Kaddatz and wife, Lyn; Sheila Bowman and husband, Mark; Jeannine Beach and husband, Nathan; Darryl Pritchett and wife, Jamie; Gary Pritchett, Jr.; Christopher Pritchett; Courtney Pritchett; and Kyle Pritchett; and ten great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church, 915 Corsicana Hwy., Hillsboro, TX 76645.
