Charlie Jay, 57, of Laguna Park passed away Sunday, June 26, 2005 at his residence. He was the son of Charles Francis and Olice Jay. He grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Timble Tech High School and also attended Tarrant County Junior College. In 1968, he entered the U. S. Army and served in Viet Nam. He also served in the U. S. Army Reserves for almost twenty years after his honorable discharge. He returned to Fort Worth following his military service where he held numerous positions including working for Bell Helicopter. Charlie was a free lance model builder and a founding member of the Fort Worth Schale Model Society. He also organized the model club at First Baptist Church in Whitney. In 1992, he married Carole Ennis and moved to Laguna Park. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Whitney; Whitney VFW Post #8571; Laguna Park DAV and the Viet Nam Helicopter Crew Member Association. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife, Carole of Laguna Park; children, Charles Jay of Fort Worth, Rhonda Greene and husband, Kevin of Mansfield, Bailey Jay of Laguna Park; brother, Jim Jay of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Ashley Jay of Fort Worth, Mary Greene of Mansfield and Chelsa Burns of Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 426, Whitney, TX 76694
