Charlie Miller

Charlie Miller, 76, of Rio Vista passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at Homestead Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hillsboro. His family will host a memorial service at a later date.

Charlie was born July 28, 1939 in San Antonio. He grew up in Hallettsville and later moved to west Texas to work in the oil fields. A heavy equipment supervisor, Charlie worked on the crew that built Interstate 10. He was a resident of Blum for 35 years. A proud gun owner, he was a member of the NRA and enjoyed playing cards in his spare time.

Survivors include his children, Kevin Miller and wife, Stephanie, of Blum, Jerry Miller of Cleburne, William Shelton and wife, April, of Hillsboro, Wayne Shelton and wife, Angel, of Cleburne, and Charles Shelton and wife, Cassie, of Blum; 16 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
