Charlie Roach

Charlie was the son of Charles Robert and Charlotte Eloise Clark Roach, Jr. A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, he also attended North Texas State University before moving to California. After serving in the U. S. Navy during the Korean conflict, he returned to Dallas where he worked as a computer engineer. Charlie was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas where he married Nancy Van Brauman on June 13, 1986. An active sportsman, Charlie was an avid hockey player and bicyclist. His hobbies included amateur ham radio and photography. He was a member of ham radio clubs in Irving and Coppell, and also the Double Dates Tandem Bike Club. Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Donald Marion Roach on April 4, 1994; and 3 aunts, Artie Louise Roach, Addie Ruth Roach, and Jessie Roach. Survivors include his wife Nancy of Irving; son, Charles Joseph Roach and wife, Heidi of Aurora, Colorado; daughter Charlotte Johnson and husband, Don of Boulder, Colorado; 5 grandchildren - Morgan and Keeley Roach of Aurora, Charles Edward Johnson of Boulder, and Amber and Crystal Roach of Dallas.
