Charlotte Smith

Charlotte Ann Shannon-Smith, 59 of Riesel passed away on May 14, 2012 in Temple.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Mr. Donny Ringo officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. - Noon prior to service.

Charlotte was born on June 24, 1952 in Cleburne to Robert Shannon and Janie Thompson. After Charlotte raised her two children she went back to school at the age of 43 and became an LVN nurse graduating from Hill College. She enjoyed nursing at Clifton Medical Clinic, Quality Care of Waco, and retired from her nursing career at McLennan County Jail. She loved reading, watching movies, spending time with her family and taking care of her dog Dusty.

Preceding her in death were mother, Janie Louise Hulme and husband, Doyle,
father, Robert Lee Shannon and sister, Sandra Gail Charters.

Survivors include daughter, Tonya Louann Ringo and husband, James; son, Curtis Daniel Covey and wife, Julie; brothers, Robert Shannon and wife, Pam; Howard Dale Hulme; sisters, Tina Creel and husband, Keith, Donna Marin; grandsons, Trent Danton Ringo and wife, Alie, Justin Wade Ringo and wife, Kasey; granddaughters, Laini Star Ringo, Kyera Jade Byars, Brionna Ryan Sommerfeld; great grandchildren, Hagen Lane Ringo, Kynzli Dell Ringo; neices and nephews, Heath Henderson, Crystal Henderson, Seth Henderson, Laura Mitchell, Barry Mitchell, Heather Hulme
