Chester Jackson

Chester was born May 16, 1914 in Comanche, Texas to Levi Herschel and Maud Frances Tullis Jackson. Living most of his life in Aquilla, he was an avid fisherman. For about 40 years he worked for Gerik Brothers Cotton Gin. He was of the Methodist faith and loved to cook. On September 3, 1932 he married Mamie Poteet in Abbott and she preceded him in death on October 10, 1979. Also preceded him in death were his parents and a son, James Wendell Jackson on January 25, 1988. Survivors include a son, Bo Jackson and wife, Dorothy, of Granbury; five grandchildren, Keith Jackson, Karen Hightshoe, Connie Salsma, Alisa Dunn, and Eric Jackson; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way.
