Chris Carter

Chris was born on July 25th near Peoria, TX to Jack and Grace Virginia Livesay Everett. She was raised in Peoria and graduated from Hillsboro High School. Near the end of World War II, she went to work at Fort Sam Houston in the Army Finance Office. While there, she met and married Karl Jack Carter on Oct. 26, 1946 in San Antonio. The couple would remain in San Antonio for nearly 30 years, before moving to Hillsboro in 1975. Chris owned and operated ?A Country Garden Flower Shop? for 15 years until her retirement in 1998. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Jess Everett and Garland Everett. Survivors include her husband, Karl Jack Carter of Hillsboro; daughter, Karon Carter of Hillsboro; a sister, LaVerne Christian and husband, Thomas, of Fredericksburg, TX; and several nieces.
