Biography

Chris “Superman” Reeves, 40, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, August 18, 2011, in Quitman. Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 9:00 AM at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Rev. Mark Carroll officiating. Vistitation with the family will be from 7:00 - 9:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2011 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Chris was born June 21, 1971 in Lubbock. He grew up in the Hillsboro area and graduated from Abbott High School. For many years he worked in retail stores in management. Chris loved to cook and was very dedicated to his family.

Preceding him in death were his maternal-grandparents, Ralph and Doris Jones; and paternal-grandparents, Charley and Mamie Reeves.

Survivors include his mother, Darlene Kallus of Hillsboro; Samuel Teran of Lubbock, who was like a son to Chris; special friend, Melinda Teran of Lubbock; two brothers, Shawn Whitaker and wife, Fidela, of Hillsboro and Brandon Kallus of Dallas; sister, Shelley Graham and husband, Ronnie, of Arkansas City, KS; five nieces; and two nephews.
