Christine Rose

Christine was born July 20, 1925 in Navarro County to John and Allie Cagle Evans. After growing up in Navarro County, she resided in Hillsboro until moving to Waco in 1964. On November 24, 1951, she married Loyd "Tooter" Rose, and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2001. Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, John Loyd Evans, and Franklin Evans; 5 sisters, Juanita Cliett, Judy Coffman, Dorothy Drake, Helen English and Grace Roller. She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Waco and a long time member of the Women's Royal Order of the Moose Lodge of Lakeside Village. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Carolynn Shilling and husband Tom of Waco, and Dianne Taylor of Waco; one sister, Audrey Bennett of Hillsboro; 3 grandchildren, Amy Shilling, Ashley Shilling, Christopher Taylor; 3 great-grandchildren, Macey Ramos, Amity Mahan and Jordyn Alyssa Taylor, many nieces and nephews, and long time friends, Mary Jo Sellers and Glenda Pierce.
