Christopher was born on January 2, 1978, in Manhattan, Kansas, to John and Cay (Herrington) Howard. Deeply religious and of the Methodist faith, he was always willing to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone who was willing to listen. He never met a stranger, had an infectious laugh and would literally give you the shirt off his back.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Matthew Duane Howard.
Survivors include his father, John Howard and wife, Julie; his mother, Cay Howard; and his step-father and best friend, James Howard; his maternal grandmother, Winnell Herrington; children, Jesse Pruitt Lewis Howard, Cheyenne America Howard, and Hailey Mae Howard; a brother, Elijah Howard; a sister, Jami Vest.
