Christopher Russell Peyton

Christopher Russell Peyton, age 39, of Whitney, Texas went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, the 5th day of June, 2020 in Frisco, Texas.

Christopher was born June 25, 1980 in Palestine, Texas to Dennis Russell and Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Peyton. Chris became a saved child of God at an early age. He attended school in Mart and Whitney, Texas, graduating in 1998. Chris graduated from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas. Upon his graduation from TSTC, Christopher enrolled in Southern Methodist University, earning a Microsoft certification in computers. He was a talented entrepreneur, with a distinct proficiency for business. Most recently, Christopher owned and operated CGK Medical where he thrived. Christopher was generous to any and every one he met, particularly those in need. Chris was full of life and had an outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger.

Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Dennis R. Peyton, and maternal grandparents, Jack and Anita Stowe.

Chris leaves behind two sons, Cole and Gage Peyton of Oak Point, Texas. He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Peyton; sister, Jennifer Peyton Copeland and husband Matthew; and brother, Steven Peyton, all of Whitney, Texas, paternal grandparents Gerald and Joyce Peyton of Hillsboro, Texas and step-mother Becky Peyton and step-siblings Shangrila, Samantha and Donovan of Whitney, Texas. Chris is further survived by his Uncle, Carl Goldman and wife Mary of Tyler, Texas and Jeffery Venable and wife Nicole of Waco, Texas. He leaves behind nephews, Collyn, Micah, Ethan, Cohen, Bryce and niece Peyton. Chris was a ‘people person’ and leaves behind many friends he considered family.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Friday June 12, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, 201 N. Bosque Street, Whitney, Texas 76692.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 209 N. San Marcos Street, Whitney, Texas. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Garden of Memory Cemetery, Hillsboro, Texas. There will be a celebration of life at Lake Whitney State Park, Whitney, Texas that evening following the service. All fees for entrance are waived. You are encouraged to bring your lawn chairs and any food/drinks of your choice.

Those designated as pallbearers are Houston Weaver, T.J. Arndt, Brandon Sharp, Anson Linn, Patrick Saylor, Zach Rendahl, Reese Baez and Carlos Vielma.
