Chuck Walling

Chuck Walling, 81 of Whitney and formerly of Mansfield passed away on November 19, 2008. Chuck was the son of Robert Ernest and Carrie Courtney Walling. He grew up in Center and joined the United States Navy in 1944 where he served for 22 years. After retiring from the service he got his Masters degree and taught at Trimble Tech in Fort Worth for several years before becoming a director at the school. He owned and operated his own business for years before moving to Whitney in 1991. Survivors include his children, Charles Walling of Fort Worth, Robert Walling and wife, Laura of Joshua, Richard Walling of Galveston, Dennis Walling of Galveston, Eric Walling and wife, Suzanne of Burleson; sister, Louise Mattix of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
