Cindy Sewell

Cindy Ray Sewell, 54, of Abbott passed away Friday, March 22, 2019, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2019, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Rob McDonald of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Abbott officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the funeral home.

Born January 14, 1965, in Dallas, she was the daughter of Clifford Morlan and Patricia (Patrick) Tracy. She grew up in Winnsboro and was a 1983 graduate of Winnsboro High School. For five years, she was employed at Airborne in Mineola. On September 18, 1982, Cindy was united in marriage to Javier Sewell in Winnsboro. The couple moved to Abbott in 1988 and she went to work at Towne Square Furniture in Hillsboro for 18 years, until they closed.

She enjoyed shooting and being a soldier with the Texas State Militia and the Texas Defense Force Security. In her spare-time, Cindy loved playing games on her tablet and reading. She was a member of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Abbott.

Preceding her in death were her father, Clifford Morlan; son, Patrick Morlan; brother, Charles Carson.

Survivors include her loving husband of 37 years, Javier Sewell of Abbott; mother, Patricia Tracy of Winnsboro; children, Michael Erick Sewell and wife, Tanya, of Burleson and Heather Nikol Sewell of Midlothian; brother, Robert Morlan of Red Oak; sister, Deanna Smith of Oklahoma; step-brother, David Good, Sr. and wife, Bonnie, of Whitney; seven grandchildren, Tyler Morlan of Abbott, Cailyn Morlan, Tanner Langley, and Taisley Langley, all of Burleson, Konner Sewell of Blum, Kamila Sewell of Burleson, and Wesley Reder of Midlothian; brothers-in-law, Jorge Sewell and wife, Maribel, of Kyle and Joseph Sewell and wife, Mily, of The Colony; uncle, Clyde Patrick; best friend, Kathleen Koster of Port Saint Lucy, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
