Clara Holliday

Clara Holliday, 95, of Hillsboro died Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Clara was born April 6, 1911 in Hill County the daughter of D.K. and Effie Brown Hutto. She married Arville Douglas Holliday May 21, 1938 in Marietta, Oklahoma. He preced her in death September 12, 1991. They lived in Bryan, Texas from 1959 to 1973. In 1973 they moved back to Hill County, living in Whitney and then Hillsboro. Clara was an avid fisherman, and would fish all day long when she had the chance. She was a very devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro. She was also a member of Senior Circle. Also preceding her death were her parents, and 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Clara is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Adilene Evartt of Fort Worth and Juanita Bossov of Chicago, and a number of great nephews and great nieces.
