Claudine Suomi

Claudine Paylor Suomi, 89, of Whitney passed away on August 24, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Mr. Charles Suomi and Mr. Bruce Martin officiating with interment at Hillcrest Garden of Memory. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors.

Claudine was born on September 25, 1921 in Pineville, Louisiana; daughter of the late John Harvey Paylor, Sr. and Eula Bell Corley Paylor. She grew up and lived in Monroe, Louisiana until moving to Whitney, Texas in November 1999. On December 10, 1942, she married Martti Suomi. Claudine was a member of the Whitney Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martti and three brothers, Audrey, J. H., Jr., and Edward Wright Paylor.

Survivors include her children, Karl Suomi and wife, Ellen of Pueblo West, Colorado, Barbara Hubert of Little Rock, Arkansas and Charles Suomi and wife, Jackie of Whitney; brother, Kermit Paylor and wife Anne of West Monroe, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren and over 30 great grandchildren.
