Clois A Nash Ansley, 87, of Whitney passed away on March 27, 2009 in Whitney. Clois grew up in Louisiana, where she graduated from Bolton High School. She met Gordon Ansley and married him six weeks later on March 19, 1944. She later moved to Texas, living in Southeast Texas, then in Bosque and Hill Counties. Clois loved most types of music, singing, and dancing. She also loved traveling with her sisters and other family members. The sisters made many trips west to Colorado and Nevada. Clois loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was so proud of them and told everyone she met about them. She was a member of the King Memorial United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam C. and Mary Alice Boudloche Nash, husband and sister, Mary Alice Roberts. Survivors: children, Melody Boyd and husband Scott of Huntsville, Mike Ansley and wife, Pam of Daisetta; sisters, Johnnie Dyer of Whitney, Bobbie Bagham and husband Carol of Louisiana; 3 grandchildren, Kelli Price and husband Josh of Humble, Ric Davis and wife Michelle of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Rhett Ansley of Jacksonville; 2 great grandchildren, Rice and Jackson Davis and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to King Memorial United Methodist Church, PO Box 612, Whitney, Texas 76692 The Ansley family would like to thank the staff of Park Plaza Nursing home for the love and wonderful care that Clois received while living there and Bridgeway Hospice for providing tender care during her final days. We also want to thank Nettie, Lucy, and Joyce for being such good friends with Clois and loving her.
