Clyde Mcintosh

Clyde McIntosh, 84 of Whitney passed away on November 21, 2011.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at Abiding Life Full Gospel Church in Whitney with Rev. Curtis Mc Gehee and Rev. Jason Mc Gehee officiating. Interment will follow at New Woodbury Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday, November 24, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Clyde was born on February 14, 1927 in Chancellor, Alabama to A. L. and Matha (Motley) McIntosh. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. On July 19, 1954, he married Virginia Ann Harlin in Rockwall. He worked for Golman Baking Company as a foreman and retired in 1978. Clyde raised his family in Dallas before moving to Whitney in 1999. He was a faithful servant to his Lord and his church the Abiding Life Full Gospel Church and always enjoyed the men’s fellowship. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Detailing cars and working in the yard were his favorite hobbies. He helped anyone in need. Clyde loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, son, Darrell Glenn McIntosh, grandson, George Russell Aaron McIntosh, II; brothers, Clem and Douglas McIntosh and sister, Grace Barr.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia of Whitney; children, Dorinda Kumpe and husband, David of Grand Prairie, Glenda Carol Monery of Garland, George Russell McIntosh and wife, Patricia of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Teri Lynn Luttrell and husband, Glen of Wylie, Douglas Sterling McIntosh of Dallas; brother, Mac McIntosh and wife, Reba of Panama City, Florida; brother-in-law, James Barr of Panama City, Florida; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
